I, William Stanley, Senr of Franklin County Virginia
Being advance in years & caling [sic] to mind that
all
flesh must die, have thought proper to dispose of my
Worldly estate in the following manner following (Viz).
Item Ist After paying and contenting all my just and
lawful debts, My Will is that my three daughters
namely Jane Goode, Susan Stanley, and Olly[Olive] Stanley
have two hundred and twenty acres of my land
it being the tract Whereon I am Now livein and
Also all my household & kitchen fumiture and
plantation tools & utentials of all Description &
my Stock of every kind for there just rite
property after my decese
the said land to be sold by there Executors or Adms
and equally divided amongst my nearest relations
And the ballance of my lands known as the upper tract
I Desire that Henry Page Adkenson son of Polly Adkenson
have fifty acres of my aforesaid upper tract at the

testament
First I direct that my body to intered in a manner corresponding with
my estate and situation in life, and as to my worldly effects, I
direct that my wife delilah Stanley should she survive me, hold and
enjoy the same during her natural life and at her death to be
disposed of as follows: I give to my grandson Thomas Stanley, son of
Swinfield Stanley, one hundred dollars I give to my grand daughters
Elizabeth & Martha Stone, children of my daughter Jane stone
decd. two hundred dollars, one hundred to each of them, and of the
remaining part of
my estate, I give to my son Peyton Stanley one equal sixth part, and
to my four grand sons Thomas, Clark, Peyton & Swinfield Maynor, I
give one equal sixth part of my estate, to be equally divided among
them. And to my son Swinfield Stanley i give the remainder four
sixths of my estate. I am induced to give my said son Swinfield
Stanley foursixtths or three fifths of my estate on account of moneys
heretofore advanced by him to my son Costley[Costello]
Stanley and to my daughter Catharine Belcher decd. and Elizabeth
Philpott. I hereby constitute and appoint my sons Peyton and
Swinfield Stanley executors of this my last will and testament
